Exactly one week from now, on June 9, 2025, the 6th World Congress of Polish Engineers (SZIP) and the 28th Congress of Polish Technicians (KTP) will begin at the Poznań University of Technology.

The event will take place under the motto "Technology for Health and Safety", under the Honorary Patronage of Ms. Małgorzata Kidawa-Błońska, Marshal of the Senate of the Republic of Poland, as well as the Minister of Foreign Affairs and the Minister of Science and Higher Education.

The inaugural lectures will immediately introduce the main theme.

The first speaker will be Prof. Jerzy Buzek, PhD Eng., Prime Minister of Poland (1997–2001) and President of the European Parliament (2009–2012), with a lecture entitled "Engineering Responsibility".

Next, Prof. Krzysztof Bankiewicz, MD PhD, from the University of California in San Francisco and Ohio State University, will present "Advances in Gene Therapy Using Scientific Research and High-Tech".

Following the lectures, a panel session titled "Technology, Medicine, and Nature" will be held, moderated by Prof. Marcin Moniuszko, Rector of the Medical University of Białystok.

In total, the event will include three plenary sessions and ten parallel sessions.

The Congress and Convention are not only substantive sessions focused on scientific and technical fields that contribute to increasing safety and the competitiveness of the Polish economy. They will also include accompanying events, such as:

presentations by student research groups from Polish universities

publishing house stands and exhibitions

The first day of the proceedings will conclude with the Engineers’ Gala, during which the final of the competition will be held and the winner of the "NOT Master of Technology" title will be announced. Association awards and honours will also be presented, and the gala will feature a cultural performance.

The second day will end with adopting the Final Declaration of the 6th World Congress of Polish Engineers and a summary of the discussions held during the thematic sessions.

Polish engineers from Poland and abroad have announced their participation, ready to share their professional experiences.

The event will also provide an opportunity to strengthen existing ties and establish new relationships in academic and industrial circles.
